Business Analyst

Who we are looking for

We have an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our Finance team in Prague. The Business Analyst will support management, especially the Finance Manager, Sales Director and the General Manager with analyses, reports, presentations, dashboards and advice.

 

Key Accountabilities: 

Finance, planning and control

- Support the finance and operation teams in the review and analysis of all operational costs (manufacturing and logistic).
- Support the finance and sales teams in debtor management and review (credit risk management). 
- Cooperate with the financial controller on: 
• performing financial analysis of actual performance compared to plan and last year;
• preparing management information, such as dashboards, monthly reports and presentations on various topics;
• assisting in the preparation and analysis of annual and half year figures;
• maintaining strong and effective internal controls and processes;
• performing ad-hoc sales analyses merging internal and external data that add value to the business and contribute to the delivery of the Divisional strategy. 
- Provide assistance to functional counterparts in the sister companies as required on matter involving cost determination issues, valuation, distribution of overhead, treatment of costs and product pricing.
- Contribute to further professionalizing the (Finance) function, including signaling of areas of improvement and implementing solutions.
- If applicable, perform analysis of capital expenditures, credit applications, divestment proposals and other events with a major financial impact.

 

Strategic marketing

- Drive the implementation of strategic marketing in the company by:

  • gathering data from various sources and ensuring the data is correct and up-to-date
  • combining this data to provide insights to the management team on (regional) market shares, share-of-wallet and competitive positions
  • supporting the sales team by identifying the most promising customer-product-market combinations
  • creating easy-to-use dashboards to visualize the above. 

- Bring best practices from sister companies, competitors or other industries to the company.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

  • bachelor’s degree in a related discipline;
  • at least three years’ experience in a similar financial role or at a large consulting/accounting firm;
  • computer literate in Microsoft Office and a high level of proficiency in Excel, knowledge of Power BI an advantage;
  • fluent in English.
